2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Spied With Massive Front Grille

It seems Chevrolet isn’t being too coy about the upcoming 2017 Camaro ZL1. In fact, these latest spy shots from Autoblog suggest Chevy wants us know this mean machine is coming our way. That’s apparent from the bowtie in clear, visible view, and even the addition of some humorous tape-on fender stripes, mimicking a camouflaged Grand Sport treatment.

The 2017 Camaro ZL1 is not filled with bulky-plastic cladding this time around either, making the details much easier to see with only the camouflage.

Taking in the whole car reveals the 2017 Camaro ZL1 means business. The front grille is looking mighty massive, ready to suck in cool air and wears itself in a much more aggressive fashion than the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS.

In the rear, the hard-to-miss spoiler sticks out like a sore thumb, and minor design tweaks are noticeable to the bumper, housing some massive quad-exhaust tips.

There is still no word on what will be powering the 2017 Camaro ZL1, but most signs point to the LT4 6.2-liter supercharged V8. Pair this with the fact the hood wears an extractor similar to the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, and we may be in for one tasty Alpha-platform treat. And, unlike the 2016 CTS-V, we hope the LT4 is paired with a proper manual gearbox.
